Chancellor Osborne Plans HS3 with Chinese money

Chancellor George Osborne today outlined plans to build a high speed rail link between Manchester and Leeds creating a northern hub to "compete with the world."

The plans would see the route based upon the existing railway built in Victorian times but with speeds up to 250 miles an hour this would completely change the dynamics of the northern cities.

Chinese Capital

The Chinese government were in the the UK last week emphasising their interest in UK prime assets such as High Speed Rail, Nuclear Power and other Crown Jewels. With this in mind maybe the chancellor is planning to pay for HS3 with Chinese money.

UK Future Growth, Economics and Construction Impact.

The UK has been searching for a vision for a means to replace the dwindling income generated from Industry and the Financial Services Sector. This has been a challenge for much of the western world with energy prices creating a particular drag on job creation and spanning most sectors of the economy.

This means the Government and entrepreneurs of the UK are required to innovate and create new ways of providing a living for people. It can be argued the new green and clean construction and be a catalyst for the because of the symbiotic interdependencies between construction and the rest of the economy.

The building industry can create new employment for people, has huge influence on the spaces in which we live and by creating ground-breaking spaces with foresight we can create urban areas which actually enhance the natural environment.

I believe that new construction design should have a complete re-think by creating structures and spaces that increase the natural habitat by creating spaces for wildlife, vegetation, localised farming and energy creation.

The eurozone debt crisis has abated with economic expansion predicted to improve with France expecting to grow at 0.8% and Germany 1.5% which will help UK exporters.

This is bound to help with investor confidence, and lead to increased investment hopefully getting the construction industry on a more sustainable footing with increases in construction superintendent jobs and house building.
